François Lenfant, PhD
Founder & Senior Researcher
I am an independent researcher and policy analyst with more than 20 years of experience in international development, governance and peace-conflict issues, with a focus on Central Africa.
The role of civil society in democratization and in peace processes has been a constant focus of my professional and academic interests. In early 2013 I set up Lenfant Research to offer research, policy analysis, M&E and training services to organizations both in the private and public sector and, at the same time, to continue my independent PhD dissertation research on the role of corporations in post-conflict environments.
I am based in Amsterdam and I have a strong network in the DRC, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda and Mali. I am fluent in English, French and Dutch. I can converse and read in Spanish and Portuguese and have beginner’s knowledge of Swahili.
